Re: Alan's NOAH Rewatch Wrestler Of The Week

Wild II Mori was always my favorite iteration of him and it really felt like the sky was the limit for him. I have talked to people that know him but that 3 year run where he had a botched title reign, his WWE tryout where he faced a harsh (and unfair) reaction from the WWE brass, & Misawa dying rea...

Re: VOW Flagship (2/22): Call for Questions!

What did you think of this year's Dunk Contest and who is your All-time favorite dunker?

Wrestling Question: What were your thoughts on Kazuyuki Fujita as a worker in his heyday of being overpushed in the Blue Wolf-era of NJPW as well as his sudden reappearance in All Japan?

Re: Wrestling Omakase #28: 2017 Omakase Awards w/ NINE (!) Guests!

Not true, I buried FloSlam and WWE way more than NJPW. :D

Lucha Talk: 2017 Beet & Worst of Lucha Awards

So we did a show breaking down the best and worst of 2017. Microman Fever brings up a very random exóticos feud, I talk about a bunch of IWRG guys, Fredo brings up UG getting his car smashed in and we have a lot to say about the usual suspects, Lucha Underground (which is noted as really turning aro...

Re: Wrestling Omakase #16: WON HOF Lucha Candidates & ROH Mailbag w/ JR Goldberg

Mistico as Myzteziz main evented one of the more successful TripleManias in history that drew over 25,000 live ppv buys in the US with him vs Rey and was successful in the building as well as carrying much of Summer programming. I think that should count him as a main eventer during that time and a ...

Re: Wrestling Omakase #14: WO Hall of Fame w/ Rich Kraetsch

I am 100% on the Lanza/Hales side of Trish, I honestly can definitely buy her being one of the weakest candidates I can recall, though the quality of the US region is quite low so who knows. As has been mentioned this ballot alone is pretty weak. To me Orton is a really bad candidate and so is Chyna...

Lucha Talk: The WON HOF Special

We did a show regarding the candidates for the México region of the ballot this year and go through each man's career and what they meant to the world of Lucha Libre. If you're a voter it's a must listen with so much info about sometimes older/more obscure candidates, and if you're just interested i...

Re: KENTAfuji matches

RE: vs Hashi/Kanemaru - This was a great match for sure and had one of the best openings to a match in history. I also enjoyed how they handled calling back to previous matches such as Kanemaru hitting the slam on KENTA from the walkway to the floor like their title match a year earlier. I thought K...

Re: Departure 2004

To me the Jr. Titles, IWGP Tag Titles, & Main Event are all great and the Jr. Title match & GHC Tag was good too. The undercard was sneaky fun but really, The main event is up there as an all time classic and one of NOAH's finest matches and that's what carries it most.

Re: Go Shiozaki

Underrated in-ring performer that as mentioned has a history of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sadly I think he didn't really hit that top top level until he went to AJPW and when he came back there's been a huge stink on him that holds him back. I've always wondered what would happen i...

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Isn't the NJPW and AJPW tag leagues kind of on at the same time in December? Might not be able to get any big name teams other than some young lions or Suzuki-gun castoffs Which nobody has been thinking they would. O.o I'm with you, if I had my choice NJPW wouldn't be involved at all because we hav...

Re: 2017 Weekly TV Show of the Year

For all its faults, CMLL is the show I often enjoy most and there are some legitimately great moments and matches this year (the finals of the Gran Alternativa/Copa Junior, the Best of 2016 redux show, Gran Prix, etc.) there's a handful of dry and pointless, boring shows but I would be surprised if ...

Re: Most Outstanding

Recognize right away I'm not nearly as high on Okada & Omega as the rest and they almost assuredly won't be sniffing my ballot but I do think they'll be an overwhelming top two which makes my passion for these award debates flatline. I really like Cefty's list. I'm mostly a fan of the Thatchman but ...

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

I would like Get Wild and I think a good idea if we must have NJPW influence my choice would be Nagata & Akiyama reuniting as a team for the tag league.
