Re: VOW Flagship: Survivor Series, War Games & NWA/Tim Storm

I was listening to old VOW flagships from before I started listening and managed to hear the original Joes toilet discussion and this weeks on the same day. I feel like it was the will of the podcast gods. Maybe the Ballcock isn't the problem if you're replacing the Ballcock and still have a busted ...

Re: Open the Voice Gate #25: Gate of Destiny, Korakuen & more!

I definitely wish they'd dropped the title to Speed Muscle I've heard very high praise for them as a tag team and wanted to see more. Picking a 2nd and 3rd for show of the year is tough. It feels like a lit of shows this year have one good match and a bunch of forgettable one. So now I'm one a big r...

Re: Open the Voice Gate #25: Gate of Destiny, Korakuen & more!

I finally got some clarity on why you guys don't like Verserk that much. I've only been watching about 18 months and watching with proper commitment for a year. So to me Verserk we're always slightly goofy jerks and a vehicle for Shingo. Now if they we're originally more than that and a lot more ser...

Re: VOW Flagship: Zayn & Owens, Power Struggle, Bound for Glory, Dragon Gate & more!

I enjoy all the goofy Hiromu stuff but can't deny that he doesn't have the aura that he did after he beat Kushida at Wrestle Kingdom. He looked like a mega star after that and I was having visions of Junior title matches headlining Osaka Jo Hall. I do wonder if this would have happened regardless of...

Re: VOW Flagship: Mae Young Classic, NJPW Destruction & more!

I have to come clean and say last week was not my first exposure to Long pause Lanza. I just have a memory like a Goldfish and despite listening for nearly two years I always forget about the pauses and reach for my phone. There's a good chance I'll forget all about this and mention it during Joe's ...

Re: VOW Flagship: Mae Young Classic Stock Rising/Falling, GFW & more!

Some of Joe's pauses were so long I was reaching for my phone to see if Stitcher had frozen again. That's probably says more about Stitcher than Joe. Not as bad as last week when the discussion of which Luchadore is which type of neighbour nearly caused me to start giggling in a supermarket. Had to ...

With regard to injuries I'm very much on the side of It's their body so It's their risk to take. People choose to climb K2 and ride in the Isle of Mann TT despite the disturbing fatality rate, some people just like doing dangerous stuff. Wrestling is super bad for you even if you try to do it safely...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Can anyone tell me why they dont allow sanada to speak ? Sent from my SM-C900F using Tapatalk Is his Skull is too cold? Seriously though I just thought being a silent badass was his gimmick. Super excited for G1. Ibushi being in it is awesome. Cody not being in is a relief not because I hate the gu...

Re: VOW Flagship: Dominion, Omega/Okada, NJPW G1 Specials & more!

Great show guys. I had no idea what Joe was going through at work it sounds unbelievably rough so cheers for doing the show. I was audibly annoyed when I saw Cody challenge Okada. I made a big Nooooooo sound. But it's not that bad seeing as these shows are just NJPW dipping their toes in US waters. ...

Re: Kazuchika Okada is the greatest singles wrestler in the history of wrestling.

I've been watching wrestling for 10 years and Okada might be the best I've actively followed. Obviously there are so many legends that I've seen after the fact and don't have that same emotional connection to. I was a kid in the UK with no debit card to order DVDs or money to pay for them so I would...

Really enjoyed SSS16 though binge watching it in one day might not be for everyone.

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

I got chills watching Marty Scurll walk out at kouraken hall. Very proud of british wrestling right now. And both his matches were super fun. A part of me wishes that Ricochet and Ospreay had resisted the temptation to do the double hanspring spot again or at least done something different with it. ...

Re: Dragon Gate

So I watched Dead or Alive. It was kind of a cool moment for me seeing as last years Dead or Alive was the first DG show I watched, despite explicit warnings from Joe & Rich not to start with that. Sure I was confused and it took me a while to realise that Dragon Gate wasn't like that all the time b...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

I love NJPW's summer schedule. Pretty much everything happens during the football off season. It'd be nice to go outside though.

The US title looks like one of those ugly Boxing belts. I'm sort of okay with that. Ive seen some people that really like it. Cody as champ I reckon.
