Solid show that went by fast. If you want to kill time before WrestleMania, there’s nothing outright bad here.

This was looking like a lackluster show after the first three matches, especially when the promoted main event went on third and disappointed. Mercury Rising 2015 is why you have to sit through the whole movie. The rest of the card bordered on good to great with a match I’m sure will get Match of the Year votes in Thatcher vs. Hero. All in all, a good show that you should go out of your way to watch.

Remind me to never review a Kaiju Big Battel show again. If you’re not right of mind, go enjoy a show once in your life…its a huge self-esteem booster and you can cross it off your bucket list. Unfortunately, I could never recommend actually ordering an iPPV though.

Many, including myself, thought EVOLVE 40 would be a throwaway show. Well, we were wrong! This was a tremendous show that served as a love letter to technical wrestling. Timothy Thatcher vs Tommy End and Chris Hero vs Biff Busick are two of the best wrestling matches I have seen all year. Go out and buy the VOD the second it is released, as this is show is that damn good.

Traditionally a Dragon Gate USA-branded event, Mercury Rising 2015 appears to be the final death blow to the DGUSA brand. Not only has one of their pillar events been rebranded under the WWNLive window, but more importantly, DGUSA champion Johnny Gargano and Evolve champion Drew Galloway will unify the two WWNLive titles in the main event.
