AEW REVOLUTION 2026 ZERO HOUR
21 MAN BLACKJACK BATTLE ROYAL FOR THE AEW NATIONAL TITLE
RICOCHET (C) VS. 20 CHALLENGERS, TOMMASO CIAMPA ANNOUNCED
Suit: Ricochet defends the National Title in a Blackjack Battle Royal, which, to my knowledge, is a regular battle royal with AEW’s gambling motif tacked on. Ricochet’s been feuding with Jack Perry, and with this show in Perry’s home state of California, I figured this would be where he won it. Alas, we’ve got a battle royal instead.
With only two names listed for the match at press time (Ricochet, Tommaso Ciampa), it doesn’t give me much meat on the bone as far as previewing the match. With Ciampa turning heel and starting a feud with Mark Briscoe, there’s a slight chance the title ends up in that program. But the smart money says that Perry works through all three members of The Demand and wins the title here to kick off the show with a nice hometown moment. Prediction: Jack Perry
AEW REVOLUTION 2026 ZERO HOUR
AEW TBS CHAMPIONSHIP
WILLOW NIGHTINGALE (C) VS. LENA KROSS
Suit: Willow Nightingale will be pulling double champion duties on this show, defending both the TBS and Women’s Tag Titles. Her first defense will be on the Zero Hour, defending against the newcomer Lena Kross.
After the Babes of Wrath successfully defended the Women’s Tag Titles against Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford at Grand Slam Australia, A LARGE WOMAN APPEARED. That woman was Lena Kross, who joined up with Bayne and Ford. I’m sure Ford’s injury caused a shuffle to whatever this program was meant to be, but I’m excited to see what Kross can do in a big-time singles match here. Throw her in the deep end, see if she swims, you know? The result here isn’t in doubt to me. Prediction: Willow Nightingale
AEW WOMEN’S WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES
BABES OF WRATH (WILLOW NIGHTINGALE & HARLEY CAMERON) VS. MEGAN BAYNE & LENA KROSS
Suit: Willow’s second defense will be alongside Harley Cameron against Kross and Megan Bayne. The Babes have been a solid first set of champions, but as AEW heads into its busy season, it’s time to get these belts off Willow and let the TBS Title stand on its own. It also feels like time for a title change here, as Willow and Harley have handled almost every other team so far. Bayne and Kross get a spotlight win and the tag titles, as we hopefully have some Skyscraper-esque squashes to look forward to with them. It would also give the Brawling Birds some mountains to chop down at Wembley. Prediction: Megan Bayne & Lena Kross
SWERVE STRICKLAND VS. BRODY KING
Suit: While these two hoped to be on this show wrestling for the All Elite Wrestling World Title, they will be wrestling each other here for the title of “The Most Dangerous Man In Pro Wrestling,” which is just as cool. Maybe Dwayne Johnson can present them with this title, as he did for Jorge Masvidal with the BMF Title. Or they could get Ken Shamrock to ref it? What’s his rate these days?
Anyway, this feud stemmed from the recent Swerve/Kenny Omega issues, where Swerve turned heel on Kenny and left him lying for daring to call another man the most dangerous in the business. That man was Brody King, who was confused as to why Swerve was so offended by the idea. He called out Swerve, who responded by choking King out with a chain. Swerve tried to choke King out again on the go-home show, but in a Frank Costanza-esque feat of strength, King broke the chain and left Swerve lying.
This has been an awesome diversion feud for Swerve as Kenny is convalescing from his attack, and it’s great to get Swerve a PPV win right off the bat as a heel. Brody is Brody, he’ll be fine. But the focus and the shine need to be on Strickland right now, and I expect that to be the case when all is said and done. Prediction: Swerve Strickland
ANDRADE EL ÍDOLO VS. BANDIDO
Suit: Another match to come out of the Cannonball Run World Title Chase of ’26 is Andrade El Idolo vs. Bandido, or as I’ll be referring to it, Andy vs. Bandy. There’s not much as far as backstory for this match, as it boiled down to Andrade immediately answering an open challenge Bandido put out for Revolution. But sometimes, you just gotta let the hoopers hoop. Bandido had a resurgent 2025, and Andrade has had a phenomenal start to 2026 in both AEW and New Japan after his WWE non-compete expired. This is gonna be the undercard match that really kicks this show into overdrive, and with a packed crowd in The Crypt, this could find its way onto some Match of the Year ballots next year.
Expect Andrade to win to keep his momentum up, as I expect he’ll have a focus soon after this show. Prediction: Andrade El Idolo
TORNADO TRIOS MATCH
THE DOGS (DAVID FINLAY, CLARK CONNORS, & GABE KIDD) VS. ORANGE CASSIDY, RODERICK STRONG, & DARBY ALLIN
Suit: A late addition to the PPV card, as The No-Longer-War Dogs take on the team of Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, and the returning Roderick Strong. Strong walked out on Cassidy a few weeks ago, then returned to tease joining The Dogs. Strong had a change of heart and popped those dogs before squashing his one-sided beef with Orange. Did I think the Darby Allin/Gabe Kidd feud would lead to Roderick Strong joining the Conglomeration? No, but if it gets me more Roddy hot tags, I’m all for it.
This is a match of guys whose slotting in this promotion is unclear to me. OC and Roddy feel like your plug-and-play types, who can go twelve on TV in their sleep. The Dogs are a New Japan act ported wholesale, and I’m not sure whether the group’s hierarchy will remain the same as in Japan. Kidd was here first, as AEW got their hands on him last year, but Clark Connors has been extremely impressive since he came in at the start of the year. Finlay has grown immensely over the last few years as the leader of the War Dogs, and I have zero questions about his work, but has he grown enough to lead the unit on American television? That will be an interesting dynamic to watch going forward.
Then, there’s Darby. The moment to try Darby out on top as World Champion hasn’t fully passed, but I don’t know if you’ll have a better chance than with the Death Riders last year. Would a month-long title reign then have been any less effective than Samoa Joe’s month-long reign? Darby did throw his hat in the ring for the World Title at the start of this year, but this stuff with Kidd and The Dogs quickly derailed that.
The finish of this match will speak volumes to me, both in terms of directions for these men and the direction of the World Title. If Darby gets the pin and puts the Dogs in the rear view, as I expect him to, then the Hangstans might need to be a little nervous that they’re keeping Darby warm for a heel World Champion. Well, a little more nervous than usual. Actually, never mind, they’re nervous enough as it is. Prediction: Allin, Cassidy, & Strong
ALL PARTIES BANNED FROM RINGSIDE
TONI STORM VS. MARINA SHAFIR
Suit: This feud, which dates all the way back to Blood and Guts, comes to a head here with everyone banned from ringside. The result here isn’t in much doubt to me, as this feels like a match Storm should win to get her back in the World Title mix. This was a useful downcycling of Storm as they let Statlander run on top, but with Thekla beating her for the title and (spoilers) probably retaining here, it’s a good time to get Storm back in the main mix.
The more interesting aspect of this match to me is seeing how Marina Shafir does in a straight-up wrestling match, with no training wheels and no interference, as everyone is banned from ringside. Marina isn’t what you would call “a good wrestler”, but there’s something there that could make her a useful part of the women’s division. She’s got an aura about her, and if you get creative, that aura could make for some interesting matches. I expect Shafir to lose, but if they can present her in a special way that masks her deficiencies in the ring, they may have a new asset. Prediction: Toni Storm
AEW WORLD TRIOS TITLE MATCH
THE DON CALLIS FAMILY (KAZUCHIKA OKADA, KYLE FLETCHER & MARK DAVIS) (C) VS. JETSPEED (KEVIN KNIGHT & MIKE BAILEY) & MISTICO
Suit: In a shock title change on the March 4th Dynamite, Aichi Open (not their actual name) beat Yeehaw Airlines (also not their actual name) to win the Trios Titles, shortly after Kevin Knight unsuccessfully challenged for the AEW World Title in the show’s opening match. With Hangman Page booked in the main event of this card, he tagged his non-union Mexican equivalent, Mistico, to assist Jet Speed in challenging for the Trios Titles.
What a combination of names in this match. The name to focus on here is Kevin Knight, as his future is a clear focus of the promotion right now. Swerve Strickland, whose microaggressions toward Knight have continued to escalate over the course of the year, told Knight that the only way he’d get to the next level was for him to become a killer. We’ve hit an inflection point for The Jet. He’s been in AEW for just over a year now, and after re-upping with the company for a multi-year deal, he’s reached his first big fork in the road. Does he follow Swerve’s advice and possibly follow in his footsteps in a new unit? Or does he go his own way and end up across from Swerve on an even bigger stage?
This is one of the most intriguing matches on the show, and could be a standout if everyone delivers. I expect the Callis Family to retain. Prediction: The Don Callis Family
AEW WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
FTR (CASH WHEELER & DAX HARWOOD) (W/STOKELY) (C) VS. THE YOUNG BUCKS (MATT JACKSON & NICK JACKSON)
Suit: The fifth match in this series between two of the best tag teams of their (or any) generation is a home game for the Bucks in California. This match also has some personal stakes, which is a welcome addition to the feud. FTR dropped the third Jackson brother, Malachi, with a spike piledriver on the 2/21 Collision. The idea of them fighting simply to prove who is the best team of their generation had become a little stale, so adding real heat has helped.
With any big FTR defense, there is the looming storm cloud of the eventual return of Christian Cage and his millstone of a partner, COPE. With AEW Dynasty taking place in Canada next month and Nick Wayne recently returning from injury, I expect the feud from last fall to resume after FTR gets the win. Maybe the FTR/C&C thing can be a non-title program, but we can only be so lucky. Prediction: FTR
AEW CONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH – NO TIME LIMIT
JON MOXLEY (C) VS. KONOSUKE TAKESHITA
Suit: Konosuke Takeshita has had Jon Moxley’s number lately, beating him in the group stage of the Continental Classic (which Mox would go on to win) before taking him to a time-limit draw at Grand Slam Australia. Mox was desperate to prove he could beat Takeshita and erase the blemish from his record, forgoing his champion’s advantage and demanding a rematch with no time limit.
AEW has a couple of directions here. Takeshita’s dissension with Okada has become comical, and after this week’s Dynamite, it’s spreading to the rest of the Don Callis Family because Takeshita refused to let them beat down Moxley. With Okada constantly mentioning Takeshita’s failure to win a title, a split from his faction feels imminent. The split has seemed imminent since August, but now it seems REALLY imminent. Does Takeshita fail again and get kicked out for weakness, or does he win the title and leave the Family, realizing he never needed them?
Then there’s Mox. The Death Riders are fine, as last year’s simmering tension evaporated when Mox brought himself back from the brink to win the Continental Classic. He’s back to being the fighting champion we all know and love. However, there’s one last issue that sits unresolved, and that’s the fact that Mox can’t seem to beat Kyle O’Reilly. O’Reilly has been out for months after beating Mox for the fourth straight time at Full Gear 2025. While there’s little news about his return, Dynasty taking place in O’Reilly’s hometown of Vancouver has kept the idea of a return burrowed in my head.
Ultimately, this comes down to how AEW wants to tell the Takeshita story. If my understanding of the company is accurate, I believe they will hold off on Takeshita’s big win, saving it for All In against Okada. Again, I’ve been waiting for Takeshita’s big win against Okada for the better part of a year, but it’s happening this time. Krusty is coming, I can feel it. Prediction: Jon Moxley
BEST OF THREE FALLS MATCH FOR AEW WOMEN’S WORLD TITLE
THEKLA (C) VS. KRIS STATLANDER
Suit: If you want to see someone take the bull by the horns and make themselves a star, look at the Toxic Spider. Thekla debuted last summer and has quickly climbed the card, showing top-tier skill and a unique charisma in the division. She earned her spot fast, highlighted by an excellent strap match against Statlander on the February 11th Dynamite to win the title. This is Statlander’s rematch, Best of Three Falls at her request.
I don’t know what to do with Kris Statlander. The company pushed her hard last year, having her pin Toni Storm at consecutive PPVs, then beat Mercedes Mone in a year-long build. On paper, the booking was perfect. But something isn’t quite clicking with Stat as a top star. She’s clearly talented, with energy that can connect. I like the More Than A Woman motif, but something’s missing, keeping Stat from reaching Toni Storm, Mercedes Mone, or Willow Nightingale’s level with fans.
That’s the difference here. Thekla is fully defined. She knows what the Toxic Spider is and how to present herself. Statlander is 80% of the way there, but the rest is missing. I’ll take Thekla to retain and enter AEW’s busy season as champion. Prediction: Thekla
TEXAS DEATH MATCH FOR AEW WORLD TITLE – PAGE WILL NEVER CHALLENGE FOR THE WORLD TITLE AGAIN IF HE LOSES
MJF (C) VS. HANGMAN ADAM PAGE
Suit: I wrote about this last week, but the AEW World Title scene is as interesting as ever. There have been stronger feuds for the title itself, but as AEW goes into its eighth year (jesus), there has never been a time when the scene surrounding the World Title has been this vibrant, interesting, and compelling. Since the first Dynamite of the year, we’ve gotten high-level pro wrestling with true main-event level talent like Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, & Swerve Strickland. We’ve also had new names mixed into the top of the card, like Bandido, Brody King, Andrade El Idolo, and Kevin Knight, giving us fresh matchups and a glimpse at a new generation of AEW main eventers.
The chase for the title has led us here, with Hangman Page getting a chance to regain his World Title against the man he beat at last year’s Revolution to kick off his redemption arc. Page wanted this to be the final chapter of the rivalry between him and MJF so badly that he went Full Cody. And as we all know, you never go Full Cody. In exchange for making this match Texas Death, he vowed to never challenge for the AEW World Title again if he lost.
This is a stunning stipulation to add to this match, one that AEW fans take seriously since Cody Rhodes has never (and probably will never) challenged for the AEW World Title since his one and only shot at Full Gear 2019. The idea of Hangman Page, the “main character” of the promotion, never fighting for the top prize ever again, sounds absurd. Then again, it sounded absurd when Cody made the stipulation back in 2019. There were so many theories as to when and how Cody would break the stipulation, only for him to stay true to his word. With the new crop of main eventers entering the scene, along with the eventual return of Will Ospreay, could this be AEW signaling the end of this chapter of the promotion and the search for a new main character?
The idea of MJF losing to Page on three PPVs in three consecutive matchups (Revolution 2025, Forbidden Door) sounds unlikely, even if MJF’s heat is bulletproof at this point in his career. MJF has also been great as champion in his second run, with solid TV feuds and defenses against Bandido and Brody King. The easy play here would be for MJF to get his win back, in Page’s own match, and forever cement himself as the better man.
But what if we’re all overthinking this? Page got screwed out of the World Title by the Opps at Full Gear and was a low blow away from getting it back the next month at Worlds End. What if the past few months weren’t the company moving away from Page as the top star, but giving Page another chance to chase the title? What if adding this stipulation isn’t to lock Hangman out of the top of the card, but to play on the emotions of his fans and get another cathartic reaction once he gets the title back? Could this last four months have just been a diversion to mix things up at the top of these shows before returning to center with Hangman on top, just in time for the build to the biggest show of the year?
MJF’s been defending the title a lot more frequently than he did in his first run, as this will be his sixth defense of the title (three on AEW TV, two on independent appearances). MJF’s sixth defense in his first reign came at the first All In Wembley show, NINE MONTHS into his reign. Could MJF have been so active as champion this time around because he knows his time with the belt was limited?
There’s also the issue of Swerve Strickland and Kenny Omega. Both men have made it clear that they want a second reign as World Champion. Those ambitions have led to hostilities between the two, with Strickland turning heel and leaving Omega for dead after beating him on the 2/18 Dynamite. That feud with those two men, driven by those motivations, makes the likelihood of Page being involved far greater, as his history with them has defined this promotion and his run in it. While MJF matches with Omega or Strickland would be great and do good business, they wouldn’t have the emotional heft of a Page/Strickland or a Page/Omega.
When this match was announced, I thought Hangman was done. I thought it was an emphatic statement that a new generation of All Elite Wrestling was upon us, one centered around a new main character. However, as time has gone on, not only do I think Hangman CAN win the title, but I think he will. In Texas Death, The Hangman will ride again, earning his third World Title reign with his third win over MJF. Prediction: Hangman Adam Page
