There’s always a dark horse show every WrestleMania Weekend where a lesser-known wrestling promotion comes in and puts their name on the map with one of the best indie shows of the entire week.
Pandemonium Pro Wrestling’s The House Always Wins might be that show this year.
Even after some issues where talent that was announced for months was pulled to work a TV taping, Pandemonium bounced back and booked one of the coolest main events of the Weekend. Kevin Blackwood, one of the few real standouts on the US indie scene right now, goes one-on-one with CMLL’s Hechicero. Expect a real clash of styles in this match as Blackwood’s aggressiveness might be no match for Hechicero’s technical wizardry. This match could go either way, and it’s one of my most anticipated matches of the entire week.
As Dragongate returns to the United States, a few of DG’s best find their way on the Pandemonium Pro card. Kzy, one of the world’s most underrated wrestlers, battles WWE ID prospect Cappuccino Jones. This is one of the biggest matches in Jones’ very young career and will be a great opportunity for his continued development in the ring.
That’s not all for Dragongate and CMLL involvement on this show. Pandemonium took the CMLL vs. Dragongate concept from last year’s WrestleMania Weekend and flipped it on its head. CMLL’s Titan will team with Dragongate’s Ben-K to battle CMLL’s Barbaro Cavernario and Dragongate’s YAMATO. This has a real chance of being the match of the weekend and one I can’t wait to watch.
If you’re looking for a preview of some of the competitors in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament, Pandemonium has you covered. Ninja Mack battles Mustafa Ali while MAO takes on Masha Slamovich in singles action. Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling is also represented when Miu Watanabe squares off with Maya World.
Elsewhere on the show, WWE ID’s Zara Zakher wrestles Hyan, “Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington battles Sean Legacy in a potential show stealer that’s on the pre-show of this loaded card, and there’s two big tag matches to round out the show.
