Our match of the week is Terry Funk & Dory Funk Jr. vs. Bruiser Brody & Jimmy Snuka on December 13, 1981, from Tokyo, Japan (AJPW).
In what might be my favorite ring walk of all time, two of the most intimidating wrestlers of the era, Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka, march through the bowels of Sumo Hall, on their way to the ring for the deciding Real World Tag League Final against Terry & Dory Funk Jr, with Stan Hansen in tow, as the brass section of Brody’s muzak version of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Son” gives off the menacing feel that this is a herd of angry elephants stomping to the ring.
