NJPW G1 Climax 33 – Night Five

Date: July 21, 2023

Venue: Ao-re Nagaoka, Niigata

Time: 6:30 pm JST

G1 Climax 33 continues with the A and B Blocks back in action on July 21 on NJPWWorld with a main event of a rematch of this year’s Dominion Main Event of SANADA vs. Yota Tsuji and a classic semi-main event of Kazuchika Okada vs. Taichi.

The team at Voices of Wrestling has done a phenomenal job previewing the Block A, Block B, Block C, and Block D, and my good friend J. Michael has written the quintessential guide to New Japan Pro Wrestling, so of course, it only makes sense that the statistics, research, and information that I send to Kevin Kelly and Chris Charlton ahead of every card also finds its home at Voices of Wrestling. I’ll be posting my notes for every card of this year’s G1 Climax. Below, take a look at night one’s packet, and feel free to follow along with me on Twitter when the show is live, as that’s where I’ll be adding any extra bits of info that I pick up along the way.
