World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has produced some of the most creative and entertaining wrestlers in the history of professional wrestling. The diversity of characters has led to many entertaining feuds, as well as some interesting storylines that have brought out new personalities. Some wrestlers have taken their characters to the next level with their originality and creativity. Here are just five WWE superstars who have been able to create compelling personalities for themselves and entertain audiences around the world.

The Undertaker

The Undertaker is one of the most successful wrestlers in WWE history. His winning record at WrestleMania is 25-2. He has won the World Heavyweight Championship four times and the Tag Team Championship six times. He also has many signature moves such as the Tombstone Piledriver, Old School/Last Ride powers, empower slam and Hell’s Gate submission hold.

The Undertaker’s character is a dark figure who uses intimidation as his main weapon in matches. His style involves wearing a black trenchcoat with sunglasses over his eyes when entering or exiting to add to his mysterious persona on camera. One moment that stands out for The Undertaker came when he faced off against archrival Kane at WrestleMania XIV.

John Cena

Debuting in 1999, John Cena is a professional wrestler still active today, who has also appeared in several films throughout his career too. He has won the world championship 16 times and is considered one of the most decorated wrestlers of all time. His signature moves include an Attitude Adjustment (a double under hook suplex) and a Five Knuckle Shuffle, which are both devastating blows to his opponents. Cena’s style and persona have been compared to that of Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior before him.

His career-defining moment came at WrestleMania XXVIII when The Rock defeated him in what was billed as a ‘once in a lifetime’ wrestling match. Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan is the biggest star in wrestling history, and he’s also one of many memorable and most-loved WWE legends. He won six WWE championships, was arguably the face of the company during his prime, and has signature moves like ‘The Leg Drop’ and ‘The Big Boot.’ Hogan had immense success on all levels, as a wrestler, he made millions, as an actor with roles in movies like Rocky III, and participated in  Saturday Night’s Main Event I and II where he successfully defeated both opponents.

With his signature mustache, his style was over-the-top yet helped create a memorable wrestling look in the ring. His persona was that of America’s favorite hero who fought against evil villains. His greatest moment came when he defeated Andre The Giant at WrestleMania III in 1987 before 93,173 people inside Pontiac Silverdome Stadium.

Macho Man

The Macho Man was a professional wrestler, who was best known for his long hair and moustache. He was famous for his feud with Hulk Hogan and had the longest reign in the history of the Intercontinental Championship at 14 months. The Macho Man’s signature moves were the butterfly suplex, gorilla press slam, flying elbow drop and top rope elbow drop.

His style and persona were revolutionary in that they were unique compared to other wrestlers at that time. His most memorable moment in WWE was when he defeated Randy Savage at WrestleMania V to win his second WWF Championship.
