Real World Tag League 2021 Block C Match
Twin Towers (Shuji Ishikawa & Kohei Sato) [4] def. Mitsuya Nagai & LEONA [2]
I am not certain Nagai ever even tagged into this match. This was a LEONA beatdown from start to finish. Twin Towers just grinded him into fine dust and gave him only a few tiny windows of opportunity to go on offense. Nice little match for what it was but nothing memorable.
REAL World Tag League B Block Match
TAJIRI & Super Crazy [0] vs. Purple Haze (IZANAGI & Devil Murasaki) [0] – Double Countout
This Team ECW might be even more ECW than we realized because 2021 Super Crazy looks like a Mexican version of Paul Heymann. The match ends in a double countout because sure why not. Post-match Super Crazy unmasks Izanagi who goes super crazy (hehe) and we get a brawl that is more exciting than anything in the match. Without his mask on Izanagi looks a lot like Atsushi Maruyama. Maybe they are brothers? Bad match
REAL World Tag League A Block Match
TOTAL ECLIPSE (Jake Lee & Hokuto Omori) [2] def. Rei Saito & Jun Saito [0]
The Saitos take another loss here as expected. But this was a big test for them up against the reigning champion and for the most part they delivered. They still look very awkward at times but they are starting to develop more of a crowd connection. Jake meanwhile looks like he couldn’t give less of a shit about this match. Might just be character work but he has done nothing this tour and he normally does well in this tournament. The Saitos actually got a decent amount of offense and this was more of a back and forth match than expected. But the result was never in any doubt.
REAL World Tag League D Block Match
TOTAL ECLIPSE (Kuma Arashi & Koji Doi) [4] def. Koji Iwamoto & Ryuki Honda [3]
A good back and forth match with both teams showing off their internal chemistry. Honda and Iwamoto have developed into quite a good team and they continue to improve with every match. While I would prefer both men to be singles wrestlers, their tag run has been good enough to warrant keeping this team together for a bit longer. KumaDoi on the other side is clearly one of if not the best team in the promotion and its only a question of time until they win the tag titles. This was the best match on the show but was overall just a solid tag match.
Final Thoughts
This was just a wrestling show that happened with nothing memorable on it. It wasn’t outright bad but it also had nothing you need to go out of your way to see. You can watch it if you’re a completionist but otherwise feel free to skip this.
