STARDOM
Kawasaki Super Wars
November 3, 2021
Kawasaki City Todoroki Arena
Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan

Watch: TBD

Mai Sakurai vs. Waka Tsukiyama

Mai Sakurai and Waka Tsukiyama are both members of Cosmic Angels and will compete in the preshow match for Kawasaki Super Wars. Sakurai’s only win is against Tsukiyama while the latter remains winless. The expectation here is for Tsukiyama to get her first win to even them out. Prediction: Waka Tsukiyama

Future of Stardom Championship
Ruaka (c) vs. Lady C

Ruaka will make her first defense of the Future of Stardom Championship when she faces off with Lady C. The champion won the title when she defeated Unagi Sayaka at the 10th Anniversary Grand Final inside Osaka-Jo Hall. Her overall improvement this year has been a noticeable plus in Stardom and it’s likely she will be holding the Future of Stardom Championship for a bit. Sorry to the tall lady but one of Oedo Tai’s future stars is going to win this one. Prediction: Ruaka

Saya Kamitani vs. Maika vs. Mina Shirakawa vs. Konami

It’s a little bit of faction warfare here as four of the five factions in Stardom will be represented. The instant favorite heading into this one has to be Maika, who has a World of Stardom Championship match later this month at Tokyo Super Wars. Of course, that isn’t to take away from the other competitors. Saya Kamitani had a brilliant first half of 2021, winning the Cinderella Tournament, competing for both the World and Wonder Championships and coming so close to winning both. She hasn’t had the best of luck as of late but a win for her can get the hot streak going again.

Mina Shirakawa displayed her overall improvement during the 5 STAR Grand Prix and could always steal one if the opportunity arises. Konami has had tough luck as of late due to sickness and isn’t a lock to be in this one. However, if she is, then Konami could be walking out with a win. These four should shine and it should come down to whoever gets the final shot. Prediction: Maika

High-Speed Championship
Starlight Kid (c) vs. Momo Watanabe

Starlight Kid vs. Momo Watanabe was made official before there was ever consideration of the High-Speed Championship being on the line. For some odd reason, it’s the champion who has done everything in her power to make the challenger want it to be a title match. Starlight Kid has called Watanabe names, wondered if she’s scared, and mostly been a pest that won’t go away. It has led to Watanabe accepting the challenge for the High-Speed Championship but making it obvious that if she wins, she doesn’t actually want the title and will give it back. These two are going to have a tremendous match that should end in a wild outcome. Prediction: Starlight Kid

Goddess of Stardom Tag League: Red Goddess Block
Fukigen Death & Saki Kashima vs. Rina & Hanan

The Goddess of Stardom Tag League will be a part of Kawasaki Super Wars as the Red Goddess Block will be in play here. Fukigen Death and Saki Kashima have already pulled off the upset of the tournament with their win over AphroditE. Going by “I Love Tokyo Sports,” they are the favorites heading into a match between them and one of their Oedo Tai group members and her sister. Rina and Hanan haven’t had a great time teaming together, and seeing their name is “Water and Oil,” they probably won’t be anytime soon. Prediction: Fukigen Death & Saki Kashima

Himeka & Natsupoi vs. Mayu Iwatani & Koguma

Himeka and Natsupoi will face Mayu Iwatani and Koguma in a tag team special. Iwatani and Koguma have been separated in the Goddess of Stardom Tag League this year with Koguma teaming with Hazuki while Iwatani teams with Marvelous’ Rin Kadokura. They’ll link back up in this one and it should be a special one in that. Expect a quality match that should be an underdog for the match of the night. Prediction: Himeka and Natsupoi

World of Stardom Championship Right To Challenge & SWA World Championship
Syuri (c) vs. AZM

AZM has Syuri’s number when it comes to tournaments and that has granted her a second shot at the SWA World Championship this year. It was February that saw AZM give one of the best performances of her career when she came as close as ever to winning the title but failed in the end. A win for her over the eventual 5 STAR Grand Prix winner in that very event brings us to this match. With the SWA World Championship and the right to challenge on the line, this is by far the biggest match of AZM’s career.

All that being said, this is Syuri. There has been no one better than on the biggest stage except for Utami Hayashishita. She’s continuously shown that no matter who her opponent is, she has the offense to get the job done. The chemistry that these two have together will not only make this a special match but one that anyone should be going out of their way to see. Expect some magic to be in the air when these two go head-to-head Wednesday. Prediction: Syuri

Wonder of Stardom Championship
Tam Nakano (c) vs. Unagi Sayaka

Speaking of having the biggest match of a career, Unagi Sayaka will compete with her Cosmic Angels stablemate Tam Nakano for the Wonder of Stardom Championship. The names that Nakano has been able to fend off this year and defeat include Saya Kamitani, Utami Hayashishita, and Giulia. Why should anyone believe that Nakano can’t takedown Sayaka as well? To start, she did lose to her on the opening night of the 5 STAR Grand Prix. That’s why there is enough belief that Sayaka could pull off the upset of the year in Stardom. Nakano should walk out as the champion but beware of the potential upset. Sayaka’s time is coming. Prediction: Tam Nakano

World of Stardom Championship
Utami Hayashishita (c) vs. Hazuki

Utami Hayashishita title defenses have become an event for Stardom fans worldwide. Every defense feels like an addition to something historic and that’s because, well, it is. Hayashishita has become everything Stardom could have ever hoped for, showing that she’s no longer a prodigy but instead their top star. And now she will set herself up to defend against Hazuki, the woman who returned to wrestling a month ago and is showing that she has everything that it takes to be at the top level of Stardom again. She hasn’t reached the level that she was at as “The Wildheart” prior to retirement but this match surely feels like Hazuki’s shot to do so.

It’s a tall battle to head in there with someone who has been as dominant as Hayashishita has been in her title reign. It’s even more difficult when Hayashishita seems to have become more dominant than she was three months ago. At the 10th Anniversary Grand Final, Hayashishita made easier work of Takumi Iroha than anyone could have ever expected, which shows that she is only just coming into her own. Hazuki has the heart and desire to do this but Hayashishita is one of the best in the world right now. It’s probably the champion’s night once again at Kawasaki Super Wars. Prediction: Utami Hayashishita
