It doesn’t seem that long ago since Edge and Bianca Belair were the final superstars standing in the respective men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches.¬†However, the world of WWE never stops, which means that now is as good a time as ever to begin looking at which superstars could be the ones to be among the favorites to win the Royal Rumble matches next year.

Big E

Many expected the 2021 Royal Rumble to be the night where Big E’s star reached a new level, as he was the heavy favorite to win the match for a long time. His price rose just a month before the Rumble match, as he won the Intercontinental Championship, but make no mistake about it; he will be a main player again in 2022.

Since splitting from The New Day, there has been rumors that Big E is going to get a massive singles push, and while the Intercontinental title win is a good start, it is the Universal or WWE Championship that Big E will be targeting next. He will be the standout pick for the men’s Rumble in less than a year’s time, and very few would be disappointed to see the former New Day member standing tall to bring a close to the PPV.

Rhea Ripley

The women’s Royal Rumble match this year was one of the best in recent memory, as the battle for the main event spot at Mania went down to the wire. Rhea Ripley was the unfortunate loser on the night, as she was eliminated by Belair in the closing stages. However, there is no denying that Ripley still has an extremely bright future, and is a superstar that is more than talented enough to headline a Mania in the future.

Ripley is the current RAW Women’s Championship but she still remains a heavy favorite to win the event next year and challenge the champion of her choosing once again at the biggest show of the year.

Becky Lynch

Coming up to this year’s Mania, it has been nearly a year since we last saw Becky Lynch in a WWE ring. It looks incredibly unlikely that it will be another 12 months before we see the record-breaking Raw Women’s champion again, but she will be a popular pick for the Rumble next year.

It is unlikely that she will go straight into the title picture when she returns, which could mean a romantic story of winning the Rumble before re-claiming her title at the biggest show of the year could be the route that the WWE decides to go in. While it may be a predictable story, it will be one that the fans would love.

Lynch may be among the favorites in the betting for the Royal Rumble next year, but new customers can claim free bets at bookmakers.net to maximize their returns when placing a bet on the huge event.
