REAL WORLD TAG LEAGUE 2019 MATCH
ONE WORLD (YOSHITATSU & JOEL REDMAN) [8] DEF. DAISUKE SEKIMOTO & THE BODYGUARD [3] (FORFEIT)

The Bodyguard suffered a torn quadriceps in his tournament match on November 30 and is out of the rest of the tournament. Get well soon!

REAL WORLD TAG LEAGUE 2019 MATCH
JAKE LEE & NAOYA NOMURA [8] DEF. THE END (PARROW & ODINSON) [8] (13:56)

The End went to work early and dragged Lee and Nomura into the crowd and started to beat on them in there. Lee ended up being the guy who got worked over a bunch and well, to be honest I thought some of his selling was a tad goofy looking. He was trying to act as if these two big beefy dudes were working him over hard, but it did not work.

When Nomura tagged in, you could feel the rhythm of the match change. There is zero doubt he has blown passed Lee as the next big thing in All Japan. His selling was also much better and he had some good exchanges with Parrow. A fun spot was when Nomura went to hit the Lancer (Spear) on both members of The End at the same time, but ate a double Vertical Suplex for his ambitiousness instead.

Nomura isolated Parrow and Jake Lee pinned Odinson after a Backdrop. Lee was the weak link here while everyone else looked good, with Nomura being the standout. This developed into a fun little match after a few boring minutes at the start. ***1/4

FINAL THOUGHTS

There are still quite a few teams left that could win this tournament, though the World Tag Team Champions, Zeus & Ryouji Sai have been eliminated already which was some strange booking if you ask me. Lee & Nomura, SUWAMA & Ishikawa, Akiyama & Doering, Yoshitatsu & Redman and KAI & TAJIRI could all still technically win this. But with The Bodyguard out, I think we are going to get some weird booking because of the forfeit wins that teams are now picking up. Maybe we will even end up getting a playoff finals at Korakuen Hall on December 9.

I would also suggest if you are watching this show only for the tournament match, to take a few extra minutes out and watch Iwamoto vs. Atsuki Aoyagi and Miyahara & Yuma Aoyagi vs. Zeus & Tamura. Both are really fun matches, and a good display of the progress that the younger Aoyagi and Tamura have made. Both wrestlers are coming up on the first anniversary of their debuts on January 2.
