Real World Tag League 2019
Jun Akiyama & Joe Doering [6] defeat Yoshitatsu & Joel Redman [0]
Joel Redman has acclimatized nicely to Japan and is a welcome addition to the roster. I had my doubts when All Japan first booked him, as he is rarely getting booked even in the severely depleted Britwres scene, but he fits nicely. Jun & Joe have been dominant so far in the tournament after being thrown together as a team at the last second due to Dylan James’ injury. Yoshitatsu has one very loud fan in attendance.
The match itself is the definition of just there. None of the participants seem to be putting a lot of effort into this one and everyone is just going through the motions. It’s not bad per se as everyone is competent enough but there is also no excitement or energy either. Joe seems shot physically though. As I said this was certainly a match that happened.

Gianni Valletta & Takashi Yoshida [4] defeat Zeus & Ryouji Sai [4]
Gianni and Yoshida have returned and so have I to bring you the latest in Yoshitta news. These two haven’t had a tournament match since night 1, though they did have a number of matches on the undercard. Meanwhile, no one can carry two belts quite as well as Zeus.
To start off we have a very lengthy test of strength between Zeus and Yoshida.
One big advantage of the Valletta & Yoshida team is the fact that they are proper grimey heels. They aren’t cool in the slightest and you just don’t want to cheer for these guys at all. All Japan generally works with varying shades of grey so its nice to have a team who are clearly out and out heels and nothing else. As such they are working over Sai until a hot tag from Zeus, which gets cut off though. Valletta and Yoshida are pretty much dominating this match cutting off the faces by cheating whenever they start to lose the upper hand. Gianni takes out both Sai and Zeus with his chain and Yoshida hits the pineapple bomber for the win. It was a fine match but nothing spectacular.
Final Thoughts
This was a pretty forgettable show. Nothing is must-see but the main event was decent. You can safely give this show a skip.
