Now in its third iteration Pancakes & Piledrives has become a staple of WrestleMania weekend. Generally, the show is presenting some light fare on a Saturday morning, while both the fans and wrestlers recover from a long night out on Friday.

Expect a lot of wrestlers to work this show hungover and/or in first gear. With that said there are definitely worse ways you can spend your Saturday morning and this show has one of the deeper lineups of the entire week.

Unfortunately, as of the writing of this preview, this show is currently lacking a main event, as PAC was pulled from the event. Otherwise, the match with the most potential is the AR Fox vs JT Dunn vs Ace Austin vs Sammy Guevara match. Ace Austin has started to break out recently with standout performances on Impact and AR Fox is always willing to put his body on the line in every match.

The Moose vs. Brian Cage vs. David Starr has the potential to be a quick hoss sprint and it’ll be interesting what role David Starr will play. The oVe vs the Unwanted match is going to involve a lot of crowd brawling and you shouldn’t expect much else there.

Now I know you’re looking at that tag gauntlet match and you’re thinking to yourself that is a lot of good talent in there and I agree. But for this match more than any other the above mentioned hungover/first gear rule applies.

As I said at the start there are definitely worse ways to spend a Saturday morning. If you are at the show enjoy your IHOP pancakes and if you are watching from home make yourself a bowl of cereal and shut off your brain for a couple of hours. Don’t think about this show too much and just have fun.
