WORLD TAG LEAGUE 2018 MATCH
Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan (2) Def. Shota Umino & Ayato Yoshida (0)

This was a nice little match. Umino rules and is destined for very big things and Kojima still oozes the most likable charisma. I’m not totally sold on Yoshida yet but you can tell he’s a talented guy and Tenzan walks like his ankles are fused to his feet and it hurts to watch but he’s still beloved by the Japanese fans. The Young Lions got a tad more offense in this match then in the first match and that might be their story throughout their tournament, which is a nice little story arc for a team that has no hope of winning. ***

WORLD TAG LEAGUE 2018 MATCH
Beretta & Chuckie T (4) Def. Zack Sabre Jr. & Taichi (2)

Well…this matched rocked. I have this match a whisker behind the Korakuen main event from night 2 for but this was still a very good match. Is Chuckie T underrated at everything? He always has good matches, his commentary is good and his twitter is funny. Total package. That aside, everyone worked hard, even Taichi! I know they still have eleven matches left in this tournament but it looks like that the Best Friends or at least Beretta are going to get a push which I am totally here for. ***3/4

WORLD TAG LEAGUE 2018 MATCH
EVIL & SANADA (4) Def. Hangman Page & Yujiro Takahashi (0)

Wait, hold up. Two bangers in a row? On a VOD World Tag League show?

This might be the best match of the tournament so far, it was fast-paced and well worked but the crowd really took it up a notch. This was the home prefecture of SANADA and the crowd was extremely hot for him but as I said in the night 2 review, EVIL and SANADA feel like the real top tag team in the company and really should win this thing and go on to take the titles again off the dastardly heel foreign champions at WrestleKingdom. Page is also having an underrated year and Yujiro has had two good matches now this year. ***3/4

Final Thoughts:

Best night of tournament matches so far. It has the distinction of having two of three best tournament matches, which are easily recommended viewing. This has been a pretty good start from the usually dull World Tag League. There’s plenty of time for it revert back but for now lets just all enjoy it while its good.
