Meet our previewers:

  • Griffin Peltier: Voices of Wrestling’s 205 Live connoisseur, Griffin is hyped for the Chamber even if it would be better with the Cruiserweights flying around. You can follow him on Twitter @biggrifftwelve and you can check out his weekly 205 columns on VOW.
  • Suit Williams: Suit is usually previewing/reviewing WWE and NXT for Voices of Wrestling, although you can also find him reviewing BritWres and New Japan stuff as well. He loves Chamber matches, so he’s tentatively looking forward to this show. You can find his reviews of Progress Wrestling shows at PWPonderings.com, hear him talk WWE on the Smark Sports podcast every week, and follow him on Twitter @SuitWilliams.

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship
Cesaro and Sheamus (c) vs. Titus O’Neil and Apollo

Griffin Peltier: These two teams have been in a weird feud since The Bar regained the Raw Tag Titles at the Royal Rumble. Titus O’Neil and Apollo make an entertaining pair, but Titus should definitely be used in the mouthpiece manager role instead of competing in the ring. Cesaro and Sheamus are just too good and they should be heading into WrestleMania with the Tag Titles for their efforts this past year. Prediction: Cesaro and Sheamus

Suit Williams: I unironically love Titus Worldwide. They are just a fun little midcard stable, kinda like the JOB Squad from back in the day. Secretary Dana Brooke is fun in her role, and Titus is a good mouthpiece for Apollo REDACTED while he shines in the ring. I would prefer for the team to be Apollo and Akira Tozawa, but we don’t talk about him anymore. This is here to fill out the card, because every show has to be three hours. Cesaro and Sheamus win because they don’t set the bar, DEY ARRRR DA BARRRR. Prediction: Cesaro and Sheamus

“Woken” Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt

Griffin Peltier: This is interesting to say the least. “Woken” Matt Hardy has been underwhelming since somewhat bringing the broken universe to WWE. Both of these guys could do great things entertainment wise if they would fully dive into the Broken Universe. This will be great if they brawl to the back and we get the drone footage and the over-the-topness that made things like The Final Deletion so great. If this channels The Final Deletion, then I think Hardy wins. If not, Wyatt should get the win and hopefully strays away from this storyline heading into Mania. Prediction: Bray Wyatt

Suit Williams: Matt Hardy’s compelling and buzzworthy character has been dumbed down to a guy who laughs weird. Bray Wyatt is shit smeared on toast. Tape this in a backyard on a drone, then maybe I’ll care. Prediction: “Woken” Matt Hardy HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Asuka vs. Nia Jax

Griffin Peltier: Asuka won the Royal Rumble match and has the opportunity to face the champion of her choice. If Jax wins, she will be added to Asuka’s championship match at WrestleMania 34. I don’t see Nia being added to the match at Mania, especially if they choose to have Asuka move to Smackdown and face Charlotte. Prediction: Asuka

Suit Williams: Let me make sure I have this right. If Nia wins, she will be added to the Raw Women’s Title match at Wrestlemania, making it a triple threat match. This despite the fact that, to my knowledge, Asuka hasn’t picked which title she’s going after. Nia claims that Asuka can’t beat her, even though she did beat her five weeks ago on Raw. Ugh, I hate these matches where the Rumble winner’s match gets messed with. Either they win and it’s predictable, or they lose and it’s dumb. It’s a no-brainer that Asuka should win this, and despite my bar for WWE stupidity being floor-level, I don’t think they’re dumb enough to mess this up. Prediction: Asuka

WWE Raw Women’s Championship – Elimination Chamber
Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Bayley vs. Mandy Rose vs. Mickie James vs. Sasha Banks vs. Sonya Deville

Griffin Peltier: Alexa Bliss is walking into Elimination Chamber for her 12th championship match since debuting on the main roster. Bliss has been a staple in the women’s division and her character work is off the charts. I don’t see Bayley, Mandy Rose, Mickie James, or Sonya Deville winning this match. Sasha Banks could be a surprise winner if they choose to swerve everybody and have a Asuka vs. Sasha rematch at Mania. Prediction: Alexa Bliss

Suit Williams: This has the potential to be a trainwreck. In this match are Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, who have potential but are still very green. You’ve also got Alexa Bliss, who despite being in every PPV women’s title match available to her since the brands split, has never knocked it out of the park in terms of match quality. That leaves Bayley, Sasha, and James to hold this together, which I have faith in their ability to do so. As for the winner, they’ve teased a Sasha heel turn for a while now, and more recently, they’ve teased her turning on her best friend Bayley. I will go for a shock title change here and say that Bayley beats Sasha at the end, triggering the real Boss to come out just in time for WrestleMania. Prediction: Bayley

WWE Universal Championship #1 Contendership – Elimination Chamber
Braun Strowman vs. Elias vs. Finn Bálor vs. John Cena vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. The Miz

Griffin Peltier: This is the first-ever seven-man Elimination Chamber match in history. I’m not sure how this will work match-wise, will it start as a triple threat? Or will Seth and Finn have to share a pod? We don’t know, they never told us. Fun fact, only Miz and Cena have competed in a Chamber match before, so a lot of these guys have a chance to create some very cool spots in their first chamber match. There is a lot of talk of Roman Reigns winning and going to face Lesnar in a WrestleMania rematch for the Universal title, but I just don’t see it happening. Braun Strowman is just too damn hot not to capitalize on another match with Lesnar on the biggest stage of them all. Prediction: Braun Strowman

Suit Williams: History is being made here folks, as instead of the normal six men in this match, there are now SEVEN men in it? Can you feel the history being manufactured right before your very eyes? This should be some fun chaos that will probably set up some Wrestlemania directions. To me, this comes down to Strowman, Rollins, and Reigns. Strowman has kicked the door down and become a star in the past year, and a coronation at Wrestlemania would put him over the top. Rollins turned in a star-making performance on Raw, registering the longest time in one match in WWE history. Reigns has been coronated time after time to non-existent success and increasingly apathetic reactions. Unfortunately, this one’s been in stone since last year. Once more, with feeling! Prediction: Roman Reigns
