This column is a little late, mostly due to the craziness of Monday here at VoicesofWrestling.com. Late Sunday night (or early Monday morning for many), New Japan kicked off this year’s G1 Climax tournament, which you can view at NJPWWorld.com. Also, at the same time, Dragon Gate held their Kobe World event, which has been highly acclaimed. Not to mention, WWE held their Battleground PPV in St. Louis just before the big events in Japan began. It was chaos on Monday, so this weekend update was delayed one day. We appreciate your patience. So let’s get to the crazy weekend that was July 17-19, shall we!?

WWE Battleground (July 19)

WWE held Battleground at the Scottrade Center in St Louis, featuring a main event of Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar. That main event began, but it didn’t end, due to the shocking return of The Undertaker. Undertaker is back, and we found out on Raw that he’ll be the main event of SummerSlam against Brock Lesnar.

Austin Aries Returns to ROH (July 17)

Ring of Honor held a live event in Las Vegas on Friday, July 17, featuring the return of Austin Aries to the promotion. Not only did he appear, but Aries would wrestle in the main event of the show. ROH returns to iPPV this Friday with Death Before Dishonor.
