Feel the excitment? Well not really. I won’t lie that this year’s Survivor Series doesn’t have me too excited, but the low expectations could result in a pretty positive viewing experience.
Anyway, here are the staff picks for Survivor Series!
Team Foley (The Miz, Kofi Kingston, Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan) and Randy Orton) vs. Team Ziggler (Dolph Ziggler, Team Rhodes Scholars (Damien Sandow & Cody Rhodes), Wade Barrett and Alberto Del Rio) Survivor Series elimination tag team match
Rich Kraetsch: I’m going with Team Foley on this one just because Team Ziggler is a team full of the usual suspects (aka losers). I like the idea of Team Ziggler winning because of some Orton turn but I’m guessing it’ll be status quo. Team Foley.
Brett Jendra: Team Foley
Dexter Brocks: Team Ziggler
Jason Chae: Team Foley
Joe Lanza: Wait, The Miz is a face now?
Big Show (c) vs. Sheamus Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Rich: I’m going with Big Show on this one. Hope they don’t give the title back to Sheamus because he’s beyond boring as a champion.
Brett: Big Show
Dexter: Big Show
Jason: Big Show
Joe: Too soon to switch it back. Big Show retains, probably via something underhanded & dastardly.
CM Punk (c) vs. John Cena vs. Ryback Triple threat match for the WWE Championship
Rich: Punk. There’s no reason to move the title now. If the long term plans for Royal Rumble and WrestleMania have Punk involved, I see no reason to move it now. Especially as we get closer to the 365 day title reign. Just makes sense.
Brett: CM Punk
Dexter: CM Punk
Jason: CM Punk
Joe: What should happen: Punk retains in some manner, loses to The Rock at Royal Rumble. What will happen: They furiously attempt to hide The Ryback with smoke & mirrors for 20+ minutes. He still botches multiple spots. WWE throws a curve ball, Cena wins the title, and the do Cena vs The Rock at Royal Rumble. The Rock wins. CM Punk wins the Rumble. The Rock vs CM Punk at WrestleMania in a rainy Meadowlands.
Eve (c) vs. Kaitlyn Singles match for the Divas Championship
Rich: Who the hell cares, Eve I guess?
Joe: I don’t know who will win, but i’ll tell you who loses. Everybody who has to watch this.
Antonio Cesaro (c) vs. R-Truth
Rich: I’m liking the title moving to Truth to allow Antonio to move onto bigger and hopefully better things.
Jason: Antonio Cesaro
Joe: With the ref distracted, Chris Hero (w/Sara Del Rey) runs in and hits a loaded elbow. Claudio Castagnoli hits the Riccola Bomb for the win. Kings of Wrestling announce they are taking over. (Rich: Oh man… that BETTER happen.)
